For those still considering whether they should allow the experimental, mRNA
injection into their veins, they might want to consider their lack of
recourse if something goes terribly wrong. (And, according to VAERS, nearly
half a million Americans have had something go wrong with these so-called
"vaccines.")

(Not a new article, but nothing has changed. And this is coming CNBC so
chickenshitv can't complain about a news aggregator.)

You can’t sue Pfizer or Moderna if you have severe Covid vaccine side
effects. The government likely won’t compensate you for damages either
-----------------------------------------------------

KEY POINTS:

Under the PREP Act, companies like Pfizer and Moderna have total
immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with
their vaccines.

A little-known government program provides benefits to people who can
prove they suffered serious injury from a vaccine.

That program rarely pays, covering just 29 claims over the last decade.

If you experience severe side effects after getting a Covid vaccine,
lawyers tell CNBC there is basically no one to blame in a U.S. court of
law.

The federal government has granted companies like Pfizer and Moderna
immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with their
vaccines.

“It is very rare for a blanket immunity law to be passed,” said Rogge
Dunn, a Dallas labor and employment attorney. “Pharmaceutical companies
typically aren’t offered much liability protection under the law.“

You also can’t sue the Food and Drug Administration for authorizing a
vaccine for emergency use, nor can you hold your employer accountable if
they mandate inoculation as a condition of employment.

Congress created a fund specifically to help cover lost wages and
out-of-pocket medical expenses for people who have been irreparably harmed
by a “covered countermeasure,” such as a vaccine. But it is difficult to
use and rarely pays. Attorneys say it has compensated less than 6% of the
claims filed in the last decade.

Immune to lawsuits

In February, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar invoked the
Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act. The 2005 law empowers the
HHS secretary to provide legal protection to companies making or
distributing critical medical supplies, such as vaccines and treatments,
unless there’s “willful misconduct” by the company. The protection lasts
until 2024.

That means that for the next four years, these companies “cannot be sued
for money damages in court” over injuries related to the administration or
use of products to treat or protect against Covid.

HHS declined CNBC’s request for an interview.

Dunn thinks a big reason for the unprecedented protection has to do with
the expedited timeline.

“When the government said, ‘We want you to develop this four or five times
faster than you normally do,’ most likely the manufacturers said to the
government, ‘We want you, the government, to protect us from
multimillion-dollar lawsuits,’” said Dunn.

The quickest vaccine ever developed was for mumps. It took four years and
was licensed in 1967. Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine was developed and cleared
for emergency use in eight months — a fact that has fueled public mistrust
of the coronavirus inoculation in the U.S.

Roughly 4 in 10 Americans say they would “definitely” or “probably” not
get vaccinated, according to a recent survey by the Pew Research Center.
While this is lower than it was two months ago, it still points to a huge
trust gap.

But drugmakers like Pfizer continue to reassure the public no shortcuts
were taken. “This is a vaccine that was developed without cutting
corners,” CEO Dr. Albert Bourla said in an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk
Box” on Monday. “This is a vaccine that is getting approved by all
authorities in the world. That should say something.”

The legal immunity granted to pharmaceutical companies doesn’t just guard
them against lawsuits. Dunn said it helps lower the cost of the
immunizations.

“The government doesn’t want people suing the companies making the Covid
vaccine. Because then, the manufacturers would probably charge the
government a higher price per person per dose,” Dunn explained.

Pfizer and Moderna did not return CNBC’s request for comment on their
legal protections.

Is anyone liable?

Remember, vaccine manufacturers aren’t the ones approving their product
for mass distribution. That is the job of the FDA.

Which begs the question, can you sue the U.S. government if you have an
extraordinarily bad reaction to a vaccine?

Again, the answer is no.

“You can’t sue the FDA for approving or disapproving a drug,” said Dorit
Reiss, a professor at the University of California Hastings College of
Law. “That’s part of its sovereign immunity.”

Sovereign immunity came from the king, explains Dunn, referring to British
law before the American Revolution. “You couldn’t sue the king. So,
America has sovereign immunity, and even each state has sovereign
immunity.”

There are limited exceptions, but Dunn said he doesn’t think they provide
a viable legal path to hold the federal government responsible for a Covid
vaccine injury.

Bringing workers back to the office in a post-Covid world also carries
with it a heightened fear of liability for employers. Lawyers across the
country say their corporate clients are reaching out to them to ask
whether they can require employees to get immunized.

Dunn’s clients who run businesses serving customers in person or on site
are most interested in mandating a Covid vaccine for staff.

“They view it as a selling point,” Dunn said. “It’s particularly important
for restaurants, bars, gyms and salons. My clients in that segment of the
service industry are looking hard at making it mandatory, as a sales point
to their customers.”

While this is in part a public relations tactic, it is legally within an
employer’s rights to impose such a requirement.

“Requiring a vaccine is a health and safety work rule, and employers can
do that,” said Reiss.

There are a few notable exceptions. If a work force is unionized, the
collective bargaining agreement may require negotiating with the union
before mandating a vaccine.

Anti-discrimination laws provide some protections as well. Under the
Americans with Disabilities Act, workers who don’t want to be vaccinated
for medical reasons are eligible to request an exemption. If taking the
vaccine is a violation of a “sincerely held” religious belief, Title VII
of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 would potentially provide a way to opt
out.

Should none of these exemptions apply, employees may have some legal
recourse if they suffer debilitating side effects following a
work-mandated Covid inoculation.

Should none of these exemptions apply, employees may have some legal
recourse if they suffer debilitating side effects following a
work-mandated Covid inoculation.

Attorneys say claims would most likely be routed through worker’s
compensation programs and treated as an on-the-job injury.

“But there are significant limits or caps on the damages an employee can
recover,” said Dunn. He added that it would likely be difficult to prove.

Mandatory vaccination protocols, however, may not happen until the FDA
formally approves the vaccines and grants Pfizer and BioNTech or Moderna a
license to sell them, which will take several more months of data to show
their safety and effectiveness.

“An emergency use authorization is not a license,” said Reiss. “There’s a
legal question as to whether you can mandate an emergency observation. The
language in the act is somewhat unclear on that.” $50,000 a year

$50,000 a year

The government has created a way for people to recover some damages should
something go wrong following immunization.

In addition to the legal immunity, the PREP Act established the
Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), which provides
benefits to eligible individuals who suffer serious injury from one of the
protected companies.

The little-known government program has been around for a decade, and it
is managed by an agency under HHS. This fund typically only deals with
vaccines you probably would never get, like the H1N1 and anthrax vaccines.

If a case for compensation through the CICP is successful, the program
provides up to $50,000 per year in unreimbursed lost wages and
out-of-pocket medical expenses. It won’t cover legal fees or anything to
compensate for pain and suffering.

It is also capped at the death benefit of $370,376, which is the most a
surviving family member receives in the event that a Covid vaccine proves
to be fatal.

But experts specializing in vaccine law say it is difficult to navigate.
“This government compensation program is very hard to use,” said Reiss.
“The bar for compensation is very high.”

Also worrisome to some vaccine injury lawyers is the fact that the CICP
has rejected a majority of the compensation requests made since the
program began 10 years ago. Of the 499 claims filed, the CICP has
compensated only 29 claims, totaling more than $6 million.

David Carney, vice president of the Vaccine Bar Association, said the CICP
might deny a claim for a variety of reasons. “One reason might be that the
medical records don’t support a claim,” said Carney, who regularly deals
with vaccine injury cases. “We have to litigate a lot of really complex
issues ... and provide a medical basis for why the injury occurred.”

Proving an injury was a direct result of the Covid vaccine could be
difficult, according to Carney. “It’s not as simple as saying. ‘Hey, I got
a Covid treatment, and now I have an injury.’ There is a lot of burden of
proof there.”

There is also a strict one-year statute, meaning that all claims have to
be filed within 12 months of receiving the vaccine.

“People who are harmed by a Covid vaccine deserve to be compensated fast
and generously,” said Reiss. “The PREP Act doesn’t do that.”

Lawyers tell CNBC that it would make more sense for Covid vaccine injuries
to instead be routed through another program under the HHS called the
National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, which handles claims for 16
routine vaccines. Known colloquially as “vaccine court,” the program paid
on about 70% of petitions adjudicated by the court from 2006 to 2018.

And since it began considering claims in 1988, the VICP has paid
approximately $4.4 billion in total compensation. That dwarfs the CICP’s
roughly $6 million in paid benefits over the life of the program.

The VICP also gives you more time to file your claim. You have three years
from the date of the first symptom to file for compensation.

“The VICP allows for recovery of pain and suffering, attorney’s fees,
along with medical expenses and lost wages, if any,” said Michael Maxwell,
a lawyer who practices in the areas of business litigation and personal
injury. “Under the CICP, it’s only lost wages and out-of-pocket medical
expenses. That’s it, unless there’s a death.”

The Covid-19 vaccines, however, aren’t on the list of eligible vaccines.

Reiss said the best fix would be to change VICP’s rulebook to add Covid
vaccines to its list of covered inoculations. “That will require
legislative change. I hope that legislative change happens.”

Yep. For the most part the Republicans are just as slimy as the Democrats.
The Democrat / Republican "divide" is really just a dog and pony show to

Except the new Communist (formerly Democrat) Party is now positively satanic.
They're using this overblown pandemic as an excuse to "reset" the world into

Both parties have gone off the rails IMHO. Like I have said before,
it's no longer the party of JFK or Reagan. And as an independent who is
left of center on some issues and right of center on others I find this
troubling because for me, there is no viable candidate / party for me.

The Democrats are heading towards extreme left wing socialism /
Communism depending upon how you define them.
This is scary shit.
It really is.

And the Republicans have allowed Trump to be their leader which is also
scary shit.

A leader who is a centrist and can work both sides of the aisle and who
puts America first instead of last (hello Joe Biden), needs to emerge
or I fear we are doomed.

And if Biden doesn't get removed from office our demise as a nation
will continue to progress at an unprecedented pace.
He is weak, corrupt as all hell and obviously suffering from dementia
or similar cognitive disease.

Even if the MSM covers it up and continues to attempt to circle the
wagons, our adversaries are watching very closely and it's a given they
have their spies relaying back more detailed information.

Considering the volatile nature of the world right now, having a weak,
ineffective POTUS who is dismantling the country is the worst situation
we could possibly be in.

These left wing idiots who simply want "free stuff" from the government
had better take a close look at Cuba and see how that works out.

And before the usual suspects ask, yes I do believe the wealth gap in
USA has gotten way, way, out of hand however I do not believe in income
redistribution but instead closing the foreign tax loopholes and
loopholes in general that the wealthy can exploit as a start.

Trump promised to close the tax loppholes. As far as I know he failed
and in my state because of the SALT limitations I got screwed by his
revised tax plan.

We should never discourage the American dream of work hard and you will
have success because it does work rather well, and especially for
immigrants. However when a couple of people own so much wealth and pay
less taxes as a percentage than average Joe, something is wrong.

However, expecting the government to support the lazy sluggards who can
work but refuse to work is even more wrong.
Just look what's happening with the pandemic unemployment bonus checks.
People are staying home rather than going to work and businesses are
having a rough time hiring people.
Socialism doesn't work.
And leave the government support to people who truly are in need of it.

Perhaps pothead can articulate the specifics on this alleged "extreme"
swing towards "left wing socialism/communism"

...particularly in context of what the positions were of on the same topics
from 1980s moderate Republicans.
Post by pothead
He is weak, corrupt as all hell and obviously suffering from dementia
or similar cognitive disease.
Biden is significantly more cognitively astute today than Reagan was,
so should we say "what's your problem?"? Or are you simply looking
for a convenient excuse that's being motivated by something else?
Post by pothead
Considering the volatile nature of the world right now, having a weak,
ineffective POTUS who is dismantling the country is the worst situation
we could possibly be in.
TFG did a hell of a lot of dismantling damage that's going to take a decade
to restore.
Post by pothead
These left wing idiots who simply want "free stuff" from the government
had better take a close look at Cuba and see how that works out.
Oh, you mean the Cuba where there's now protesters in the streets who are
opposing its dictatorship? FYI, it is standard practice for dictators to claim
to be something other than a dictatorship.
Post by pothead
And before the usual suspects ask, yes I do believe the wealth gap in
USA has gotten way, way, out of hand however I do not believe in income
redistribution but instead closing the foreign tax loopholes and
loopholes in general that the wealthy can exploit as a start.
Does that include a progressive income tax rate?
Post by pothead
Trump promised to close the tax loopholes. As far as I know he failed..
Is it still a "failure" when one never intended to keep that promise? /s
Post by pothead
and in my state because of the SALT limitations I got screwed by his
revised tax plan.
That's called a "socialist bribe" to the voters in those states who did benefit. /s
Post by pothead
We should never discourage the American dream of work hard and you will
have success because it does work rather well, and especially for
immigrants. However when a couple of people own so much wealth and pay
less taxes as a percentage than average Joe, something is wrong.
So then you would approve of rescinding the 2017 tax cut?
Post by pothead
Just look what's happening with the pandemic unemployment bonus checks.
People are staying home rather than going to work and businesses are
having a rough time hiring people.
That's been the claim made ... by Pro-Business interests, mind you.

But with some (not all) States cancelling their UI supplement, the no-kidding data
is coming out which will put that claim to the test. Noah Smith is one of the analysts
who's been reporting on it (generally weekly), and as of his last update, the claim isn't
holding up.
Post by pothead
Socialism doesn't work.
Except for how there's a lot of EU countries who are showing otherwise.
Plus the many 'socialist' programs in the USA.

The thing to understand is that there's the pedantic definition (theory) and
then there's the pragmatic implementations of the general philosophical
approach: one should know better than to lump the two together, just as
we don't do this for Capitalism.
Post by pothead
And leave the government support to people who truly are in need of it.
As opposed to the current US policy is to support just the top 1%? /s

Too bad you didn't even lift a finger to fact-check, but went straight into
Ad Hominem ... Why? Perhaps because you hate the news being reported?
Post by SilverSlimer
Nothing you post ever has any basis in reality.
Yet you still see them as so threatening to your reality that you invariably reply.

Case in point, there's multiple other sources also reporting that things are going
to hell, particularly in Florida:

"Florida ... 14-day change: 123 percent increase"
<https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/public-health/21-states-where-covid-19-hospitalizations-are-rising-july-7.html>

<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/covidview/index.html>
<https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#new-hospital-admissions>

Drilling down to FL on the latter link:
"New Admissions of Patients with Confirmed CoVid-19, Florida [as of 7/26/21]"
Current 7 Day average (7/20-26/21): 1206
Prior 7 Day average (7/13-19/21): 751
Percentage Change from prior 7-day average: +60.6%

FYI, hovering on the graph, the recent 'trough' low was roughly 249/day on 6/20,
which means that the increase over the past ~5 weeks is 1206/249 = 4.84,
which is a +384% increase.

Nope, not any problems in Florida .. they're just whistling past the graveyard
as WaltDisneyWorld goes back to a mask mandate to try to stay open!

The race/class wars are coming.
Get locked and loaded because the police aren't going to be able to do
a thing and the government elite have been trying to start race/class
wars for decades so don't expect them to help either.
They certainly didn't do anything last summer — even Trump did almost
nothing.
Well according to the MSM it was mostly peaceful protests. Ali Velshi
made that comments as a police station burned behind him.
Why isn't there investigations into BLM, Antifa and the rioters and
looters who destroyed cities last summer?
Isanity? The real question is, why are Communist Democrats on this forum so
willing to ignore these riots?
It's always the same with the radical liberal left. You are either 100
percent with them or you are their enemy.
There is no common ground and you can pick any one of the trigger
topics, even the old standbys like abortion, gay rights etc.

Try confronting a woman's rights / pro abortion group and saying
something like "I appreciate your rights and I respect the fact that
here in the USA you can (or at least you used to be able to) speak
those rights but I stand for support for the unborn so I respectfully
disagree with your opinion", and see what happens.... After you get the
tar and feathers off your body you will understand that it's either 100
percent or nothing.

You can look at chrisv or the "Secaucus Gasbag" to see that model in
action.

I can speak from experience, not the tar and feathers, but just take
transgender people and their rights. Even as a middle of the road,
leaning towards conservative, I do support people who feel they are
trapped in the wrong body. Who am I to say this isn't real for some,
albeit a minuscule percentage of the population?
Maybe there is something to it?

I don't know why but in my book, if you live the part as the opposite
sex 100 percent, or close, of the time, that's good enough for me to
not have a problem addressing you as your chosen sex, letting you use
the bathroom of choice etc.

Again this is not Jake dressed in his wife's sun dress using the girl's
room to get his jollies.

I do however draw the line with competitive sports as that is strictly
a gender, hormone, male vs female thing although say a female TG with
female parts, the whole works, I might agree should compete as a
female. The cross dresser types ie:Caitlyn Jenner, should not be able
to.
And Caitlyn agrees with me.

Now my conservative friends have a problem with that however they do
not judge or attack me for my opinions that may wander into the liberal
side of things.

My liberal friends go nuts. They expect me to agree with everything
they pretend to represent and I say pretend because most of them are
sheep just following some mantra that is oh, so wrong.

That is the difference.

And you can even see this in the mainstream media.
Fox has liberal guests all the time and some, Juan Williams, Jessica
Tarlov and others are regulars.

Does CNN and MSNBC or NPR do the same?

Of course not.

Why in many states were they let out of jail, charges dropped?
I guess assaulting people, looting stores, burning stores and police
stations and assaulting innocent people is not "really" a crime in "Defund
the Police-ville."
Notice how Pelosi and the Democrats are all of a sudden gushing with
praise for the police in the 1/6/21 hearings?

It's like all of a sudden the police, they all hated with a passion
last summer are now saints.

And lest anyone believe the speeches given by the police so far weren't

etc...
And yes, Trump screwed up. He should have taken a page out of the CCP
playbook and brought in the black hawks and stopped this mess in it's
tracks.
The Democrats can trample all over the constitution so he should have
done the same, war powers act, whatever is needed to over rule the
moronic Democrats ruling the places where the most damage to property
and life was done.
Trump fucked that one up big time.
Yep. I think he and his handlers thought these riots would work in his favor
during the elections — probably did, but the Communist Democrats stole the
election anyhow.
War powers act.
Declare a state of national emergency etc.

Also notice how the Democrats were able to change the election laws
last minute but didn't follow the constitution and process in doing
such? In various states.
PA for example.

Nothing gets said of that violation.

There is so much evidence of the Democrat corruption yet nothing gets
done.

That's why Jordan was not allowed on the panel.
It's also why Cheny was allowed.
She is a RINO of the 100th magnitude.

What are the Democrats so afraid of?

Again, observe their behavior and you will get a good idea where the
fix is in and what they are afraid of.

This is why I watch MSNBC, CNN, NPR and others.

I've now worked in two inner city schools and have seen how whites
behave there. Before the last two years, the majority of the schools
where I worked would be white and there were a few minorities here and
there. Now, there is a majority of minorities and a few whites. To make
things simple, those whites feel isolated and keep to themselves because
they don't identify with anyone. Why? Because like in any modern
society, ghettos emerge in the schools. Negroes stick to negroes,
Algerians stick to Algerians, Latinos stick to Latinos and the whites
are essentially unable to befriend any of them. If you want to look at
what the future is going to be like for people of European descent,
those schools are a perfect example: demoralized, depressed and
devalued. Add to that the fact that higher education is now set up to
ignore the applications of students with European-sounding names and you
can understand why they are also disgruntled.

Its not quite bickering ... it is that they use labels to advance
their agenda, but when you try to pin them down on what a
term actually means, they dance, dodge & change what it means.

The example here is of 'socialism/communism', which they use as
red meat to their base with China, Venezuela, Cuba etc ... but they
exploit their deliberate vagueness to allude to it also including all
socialist democracies such as EU.

The KISS motivation for why they do this is because Corporate Enterprise
absolutely hate being made less profitable by having more Government
intervention for things like Worker rights, benefits, Environmental, Anti-
monopoly, etc.

And the irony is that from the COLA perspective, they should remember
their OS history in that the lawsuits against Microsoft started in the
EU before they did in the USA.

That too...and it has zero credible basis.

China is a "Marxist–Leninist" state, which like the USSR is closer to a dictatorship

Likewise, for Venezuela, while they're governed by a communist or socialist party,
they didn't honor their own elections, which puts them into dictatorship column too.

Ironically, Jan 6th was an attempt by Trump & his followers to create a dictatorship
here by overthrowing the US Constitution, which would have made the US become
just as bad as the countries who they criticize for their MAGA base.

They're using this overblown pandemic as an excuse to "reset" the world into
satanic Communism. This has been the control freaks sick dream for
centuries.
Can't argue with anything you write here. More and more evidence I've seen
lately seems to indicate that Trump was onboard with this crap from the
beginning — so "two" sides with the exact same objective. A phony "divide"
to keep us at each other's throats while they impose satanic communism on
us. It's a lot further along than I would have believed even a month ago.

And you're right, gullible idiots will go along with whatever draconian
rules (not laws) the government enacts so long as they're promised goodies
and an easy life sitting on their asses.

I don't know if you're aware of David Knight but he's one of the bigger
Trump skeptics I've seen from the conservative side. Apparently, if you
donate to one of Trump's lawsuits against whoever and whatever, he'll
spend $1 of what you give him on whatever he requested it for but only
after pocketing the first $8,000 and splitting it with the GOP. To me,

See my reply to RonB.

Trump's biggest fault is that he seems to be an awful judge of people
and seems to seek out the wrong person for the job.
This is mostly because he's NOT a politician, which most, including me,
thought would be a good thing ie drain the swamp etc. It turned out to
be a disaster for Trump and coupled with the inside spies in his
administration leaking everything to the MSM it spiraled out of control
and the White House became a revolving door of sorts.

Have you notice that the MSM rarely has spots where information from
the White House has been leaked to them? So "unnamed sources" based
stories suddenly disappeared.
Isn't that interesting?

A lot of the government are full time, non appointed people so the
majority are the same people that served under Trump.

All of sudden the leaky pipes have been plugged.

I'll bet a lot of those government people got rich under the Trump
administration.
A leak here, and a leak there, adds up over time to some serious cash.

I'm starting to believe that Trump was a plant, someone they knew was
going to appeal to the right to give us the impression that the American
political system isn't completely corrupt and that with the right
people, things can be turned around. There is truly no excuse for him
having done nothing about de-platforming and about the attacks by Negro
Lives Matter and Antifa. He only responded if the governor requested it,
in his own words, but at some point you're seeing American cities burn
so you can't wait for these people to make a request, especially since
they are simply looking to score political points.

One can argue that Trump was damned if he did and damned if he didn't in
that situation but I'm sure that the local business owners and citizens
would have appreciated his acting regardless of what the governor wanted.

You can't let BLM and Antifa thugs run wild only to be freed by Communist
Democrat politicians without a trial or any consequences. The Federal
Government can certainly stick their nose into just about everything else on
a local level — why let cities burn just because local Communist Democrats
wanted to appease BLM and Antifa thugs? If Trump has to be sorry for
something this is what he should apologize for — along with the Communist
Democrats at local levels. The main job of government is to keep the peace,
not stoke the fires.

+1
I don't know if you're aware of David Knight but he's one of the bigger
Trump skeptics I've seen from the conservative side. Apparently, if you
donate to one of Trump's lawsuits against whoever and whatever, he'll
spend $1 of what you give him on whatever he requested it for but only
after pocketing the first $8,000 and splitting it with the GOP. To me,
that's no better than what the Democrats are doing. You simply can't
trust these monsters. The American people are truly on their own here.
I'll have to take a look at this. Thanks for the tip.

-----------------------------------------------------
Under the PREP Act, companies like Pfizer and Moderna have total
immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with
their vaccines.

And see this to see which US Party got it passed.
If anti-consumer most people can guess the source.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Readiness_and_Emergency_Preparedness_Act
Yep. For the most part the Republicans are just as slimy as the Democrats.
The Democrat / Republican "divide" is really just a dog and pony show to
keep Americans at each other's throats. (Divide and conquer.)
Except the new Communist (formerly Democrat) Party is now positively satanic.
They're using this overblown pandemic as an excuse to "reset" the world into
satanic Communism. This has been the control freaks sick dream for
centuries.
Can't argue with anything you write here. More and more evidence I've seen

And you're right, gullible idiots will go along with whatever draconian
rules (not laws) the government enacts so long as they're promised goodies
and an easy life sitting on their asses.
Being from NY I've seen Trump's antics for decades and while he built a
reputation for getting things done, eliminating red tape and so forth,
there has always been a cloud over HOW he actually accomplished all
that he did.
It came out later that he is a ruthless businessman which in NYC is a
requirement to deal with the corrupt unions and officials.
Bottom line, a lot of money changed hands in order to grease the gears.

I have no doubt at all that Trump used the tax system to his advantage
and probably overstepped in that area. That's what rich people do.

What got me was that real estate "University" he ran. There were local
targeted advertisements all over NYC at the time and he sucked in a lot
of people to what was a sham. Come on, a graduation picture standing
next to a cardboard cutout of Trump?

Fast forward to 2012 and in my wildest ideas I never thought Trump had
a chance of winning.
But he did.

Ironically, I believe Trump won in 2016 for the same reason he lost in
2020 and that was people held their nose and voted for the other
candidate.
Hillary was very unlikable, although competent.
After 4 years of the media pounding Trump hate 24x7 people were tired
of the antics and chaos surrounding Trump so they wanted to return to
classic politics and Biden got "elected". I still don't believe he won
legitimately but until positive proof of a rigged election is offered
that's how I feel about it for now.

If anything, the past 4 years have revealed how corrupt the system is.
And that's both sides.

Jen Psaki basically admitted the White House is in lock step with big
tech and social media to censor incorrect information.
Really?
And who decides what is incorrect?
The CDC?
They change their "science" weekly and it's now coming out that some of
their "science" was based on incorrect data, done on purpose of course.

How about the science of the WHO?
So we take recommendations from a corrupt organization that is run by
CCP who started this COVID mess in the first place.

How about Fauci?
Flip-Flop-Fauci

Masks don't work
Maske do work.
Two masks are better than one mask.
Cutting off foreign travel is a bad idea.
Cutting off foreign travel saved lives.
Etc.

Come on already, people aren't that stupid.

And it's all coming back just in time to send junior back to school.

If Biden and the Democrats actually cared about COVID infections they
would shut the Mexican border instead of shipping COVID infected
migrants all over the country.

But instead they put the USA citizens under lock and key and rules and
regulations once again.

What hypocrisy.

The sooner the democrats are out of power and this idiot Joe Biden
is removed from office the better.
He's demented and belongs in a nursing home and not in the White House.

And when, not if but when, it happens it's going to take a decade or
more for the country to return to the prosperous country we once were.

Assuming China doesn't take us over first or Iran doesn't nuke us.

For those still considering whether they should allow the experimental, mRNA
injection into their veins,
That injection would be bleach, as per TFG ... right? /s
Post by RonB
they might want to consider their lack of
recourse if something goes terribly wrong.
As others have noted, the PREP Act was signed by a Republican (Bush), 15+ years ago:

(And, according to VAERS, nearly half a million Americans have had something
go wrong with these so-called "vaccines.")
Gosh, looks like someone doesn't know how to do a VAERS search!

Limiting searches to just CoVid vaccines, there's currently been just

Even if one looks to total symptoms reported, knowing that most people
report multiple symptoms, there's currently been only 381,955 of these:
still not a half million.

Oh, and for the <6000 deaths, let's sort them by age. Here you go:

You can’t sue Pfizer or Moderna if you have severe Covid vaccine side
effects. The government likely won’t compensate you for damages either
-----------------------------------------------------
Except for a government fund for providing compensation. Oops!
Post by RonB
That program rarely pays, covering just 29 claims over the last decade.
See, RonB doesn't understand that its just hard to legitimately win.

As per later quoted text: "Attorneys say it has compensated less than 6%
of the claims filed in the last decade." so RonB should go compare that
to the success/failure rates of run-of-the-mill medical malpractice lawsuits.

<https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2628515/>
Post by RonB
You also can’t sue the Food and Drug Administration for authorizing a
vaccine for emergency use, ..
One should first ask:
"is there anything that the FDA *can* actually be sued for?".
Post by RonB
In February, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar invoked the
Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act.
That was in 2020, under TFG.
Post by RonB
HHS declined CNBC’s request for an interview.
Which, again, was under TFG's administration ... who tried an insurrection
on Jan 6th to avoid losing power.
Post by RonB
Dunn thinks a big reason for the unprecedented protection has to do with
the expedited timeline.
"Unprecedented" ... except for how its been in place for over a decade? /s
Post by RonB
The quickest vaccine ever developed was for mumps. It took four years and
was licensed in 1967.
How fast were desktop PCs in that year?

And were the costs of the HSR trials underwritten by the Government to increase
the sample sizes tenfold so as to accelerate data collection rates?
Post by RonB
Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine was developed and cleared
for emergency use in eight months — a fact that has fueled public mistrust
of the coronavirus inoculation in the U.S.
Just wait until the public hears about stereolithography ("desktop printing" of spare parts).
Post by RonB
The legal immunity granted to pharmaceutical companies doesn’t just guard
them against lawsuits. Dunn said it helps lower the cost of the
immunizations.
Lowering the cost to manufacturers was the point of this 2005 legislation.
Post by RonB
“The government doesn’t want people suing the companies making the Covid
vaccine. Because then, the manufacturers would probably charge the
government a higher price per person per dose,” Dunn explained.
Because liability insurance isn't free, stupid.
Post by RonB
Remember, vaccine manufacturers aren’t the ones approving their product
for mass distribution. That is the job of the FDA.
Which begs the question, can you sue the U.S. government if you have an
extraordinarily bad reaction to a vaccine?
Again, the answer is no.
“You can’t sue the FDA for approving or disapproving a drug,” said Dorit
Reiss, a professor at the University of California Hastings College of
Law. “That’s part of its sovereign immunity.”
Warned you. And FYI, its not just the FDA that's exempt in this fashion
and its also not just the Feds: overeign immunity is basically why you
can't hold your local police liable for murdering your child in the street.
Post by RonB
Bringing workers back to the office in a post-Covid world also carries
with it a heightened fear of liability for employers.
Yup...and just wait until OSHA gets un-fucked-up from TFG to publish
workplace safety standards with CoVid protections in mind. Maybe
we'll finally see HVAC UV sterilization standards that should have been
rolled out after the cause of Legionnaires' Disease was discovered.
Post by RonB
In addition to the legal immunity, the PREP Act established the
Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), which provides
benefits to eligible individuals who suffer serious injury from one of the
protected companies.
But RonB told us that this doesn't exist! Doesn't he read his own citations?
Post by RonB
It is also capped at the death benefit of $370,376, which is the most a
surviving family member receives in the event that a Covid vaccine proves
to be fatal.
Probably more than the median value of Life Insurance carried by Americans,
particularly since only ~half (52%) carry any at all. Perhaps RonB will tell us
how much life insurance he personally has. /s
Post by RonB
Of the 499 claims filed, the CICP has compensated only 29 claims, totaling
more than $6 million.
FYI, $6M/29 claims means the average won per claim is over $200K.
Post by RonB
“People who are harmed by a Covid vaccine deserve to be compensated fast
and generously,” said Reiss. “The PREP Act doesn’t do that.”
Spoken by a lawyer for potential plaintiffs. No conflict of interest here! /s
Post by RonB
So the fastest vaccine to reach full FDA approval EVER (in 1967) was the
mumps vaccine and that took four years.
Already explained.
Post by RonB
Now we have a brand-new, never used on humans before, mRNA "vaccination"
False.

First, not all of the CoVid vaccines are mRNA based (look it up).

Second, of those which are, there were human trials years ago on the technology;
the main breakthrough was back in 2005 ... and IPO's for commercialization
of the tech started back in 2018 (hint: "Pre-CoVid). The tech was already on its
way to market anyway.

Third, the non-mRNA vaccines were developed, tested & approve just as fast,
which shows that OWS worked as intended. The "secret sauce" was that the
Government threw tons of money at it to expand the Phase II/III trials by a factor
of ten, which allowed for "10x faster" outcomes. That's how you go from 4 years
to 0.4 years.
Post by RonB
and they're talking about having it
fully approved by January, 2022. No, that's not insane at all.
Because it isn't like our capacity to run data analysis hasn't improved at all
during the computer age? /s
Post by RonB
And these vaccines are so ineffective that the Fauci and his shithead bunch
at the CDC have just attempted to "mandate" masks for indoors again, even
for the "fully vaccinated."
Nope: that's due to Risk:Benefit analysis, which shows that we can keep commerce
open and cases down if we decrease transmissibility through the extremely trivial
procedure of wearing a mask.
Post by RonB
Not to mention that we're looking at far less
than 1% of Americans seriously effected by this "gain of function" pandemic.
False. The CFR is still around 1.8%, plus the average hospital bill is IIRC $40K,

But RonB can go research for us just what the total number of CoVid hospitalizations
have been.
Post by RonB
29 people TOTAL have been compensated for damage done due to vaccines.
Over the past decade+, which just shows everyone just how rare actually serious
attributable cases are from *all* vaccines.
